Wallops Sunset
This photo was totally a happy surprise. On a very cold and windy afternoon, I was attempting to take photos of the launch of an Anteries rocket from the NASA Wallops Island Flight Facility. However, the launch was scrubbed less than a minute before takeoff. All was not lost as this amazing sunset developed over the Chincoteague Bay Inlet. Quickly, I relocated my camera and snapped off a few frames. It wasn’t until I got home, did I notice how the sky looked like a painting.
